Flash update instructions for the AcceleRAID 250
Software Kit v4.04-02
December 20, 2001

The attached flash files are for the Mylex AcceleRAID 250 controller
ONLY. Flashing these files to a controller other than the model
specified may render the controller inoperable. This release is
contained within the Software Kit 4.04 CD.

Use EzAssist -> Advanced Options to flash the controller with each
of the four update files. (Write down the filenames so they can be
entered when prompted by EzAssist.)

NOTE: If your controller is currently using the DACCF version of the
configuration utility, you must run the DOS based RAID EzAssist utility
to update the files.

Before upgrading the firmware from a version less than 4.07, make
sure that the Background Initialization has completed. Background
Initialization occurs immediately after a New Configuration is saved
and usually takes a few hours. It is characterized by significant
drive activity. Make sure this activity has stopped before upgrading
the firmware.
