If the Firmware version on your Acceleraid 170LP or Acceleraid 160  is later  than  6.00-0-07 then you meed to follow the steps listed below.  Acceleraid 170LP and Acceleraid 160 uses same version of the bios and firmware

-Please print out the read me file.
 
All the following files will not fit on one floppy disk. You need two floppy disk.

klp70002.000 (boot block)
ez30010.img  (ezassist)

flp70200.000  (firmware)
blp62100.039 (bbs bios)
blp60100.039 (non-bbs bios)
dlp12400.img (diagnostic)


(1) Use ALT  R function during startup/boot up.

(2) The first file that need to be flashed is ez30010.img (eZASSIST)

(3) Reboot the system.

(4) Use ALT + R function during startup/bootup. Now you are using new version of the ezassist.

(5) Flash the following files.

(6) klp70002.000  (Bootblock)

(7) flp70200.000  (fIRMWARE)

(8) You need to flash one of the files from these two files.

    blp60100.039  (Non BBS) Bios 
    blp62100.039  (BBS) Bios

*   You must read the last section of this Readme file to decide if you need to flash BBS
    bios or non bbs bios. 

(9) dlp12400.img  (Diagnostic)

How to flash Acceleraid 170LP or Acceleraid 160 PCI disk Array controller with firmware level
 6.00-0-07 or below.
********************************************************************************************************

-  Please backup your configuration on the floppy disk is recommended using ezassist.

- Two 1.44mb MS-DOS formatted floppy disk required.

- Please copy next three files to 1.44 MB floppy disk. 

Flpstep.000   (step file)
klp70002.000  (Boot block)
Ez30010.img   (Ezassist)

- Please copy next four files to second 1.44 MB floppy disk.

Blp62100.039 (BBS) Bios
Blp60100.039 (non-BBS Bios)
Dlp12400.img (Diagnostic)
Flp70200.000 (Firmware)

-Use ALT  R  function during startup/boot up.
 
You must flash following files in a given order below.
------------------------------------------------------                     

(1)  Flpstep.000       [STEP FILE]
(2)  klp70002.000    [Boot-block]
(3)  ez30010.img     [eZASSIST]

(4) Exit ezassist configuration and utility and must reboot.

- Use ALT  R function during the startup to run the configuration.

- Must flash rest of the files from second floppy

- flp70200.000  (firmware).

- You need to flash one of the files from these two files.

- blp60100.039   (Non BBS Bios). 
- blp60210.037   (BBS Bios).

- You must read the last section of this Read me file to decide if you need to flash BBS
  Bios or non-bbs bios. You must flash one of the files.
 
- dlp12400.img   (Diagnostic)

BBS is called boot block specifications

If your Motherboard is supporting BBS function, then you flash the BBS version  Blp62100.039 (BBS) Bios.
If your motherboard does not support BBS function then Flash with non-BBS support blp60100.039. 
You must consult Motherboard manufacturer Prior to flashing this controller. The Motherboard 
Manufacturer can assist you to identify BBS or non-BBS support with the motherboards.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
