TABLET INSTALLATION For information on connecting the Wacom tablet to your system and installing the tablet software, refer to the installation guide that came with your tablet. KNOWN ISSUES AND WORKAROUNDS * GENERAL NOTES * THE PREFERENCE FILE NAME WAS CHANGED The name of the preference file where the Wacom Control Panel settings are saved was changed from WACOM.DAT to TABLET.DAT. WINDOWS XP - WHEN INSTALLING ON SYSTEMS WITH MULTIPLE USERS If you install the tablet on a system with multiple users and the tablet only works on the primary user desktop, reboot the system. SAFE MODE - SUPPORT FOR USB TABLETS If your PC was not configured with a USB keyboard or USB mouse, it may not support USB devices while in Windows Safe Mode. In this case, your tablet will not function in Safe Mode. INTUOS TABLETS: AFTER CHANGING THE TABLET ORIENTATION, TABLET BUTTON ICONS DO NOT APPEAR When using the tablet in the Portrait or Landscape Flipped orientation, the tablet menu button icons will not display on your monitor. However, the tablet menu buttons are still functional. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
