How to install To install the Microsoft Windows Printing System on Windows NT4.0/2000, start up the [Add Printer Wizard] then select Wpsc3nt.inf file in the [Locate File] dialog box. Administrator privileges are needed to install the Microsoft Windows Printing System to [My Computer]. ======================================================================== 2. When some problem happens When some problem happens to printing with the Canon LBP-660, and if you are unable to determine the cause of the problem, start up the [Canon LBP-660 Trouble Shooter] utility installed in the Windows Printing System group. The Trouble Shooter can resolve problems with the settings or installed files. ======================================================================== 3. Parallel port setting Using the ECP printer port is recommended if your PC supports. It is especially effective when the [Reduce Computer Use While Printing!] happens. You can change the printer port setting by BIOS setup. ======================================================================== 4. Printing from Command Prompt Because the Windows Printing System for Windows NT4.0/2000 does not support PCL emulation, you cannot print from the Command Prompt (Windows NT4.0/2000) or the MS-DOS Prompt (Windows 95). Use Windows applications to print. ======================================================================== 5. Test Page printing after installation When you print a Test Page after installation selecting in the Add Printer Wizard, extra files are listed on the Test Page than normal case and letters on the bottom line are partially clipped. This behavior will not happen after restart Windows NT4.0/2000. ======================================================================== 6. Printing On-Line Help If you want to print the contents of the On-Line Help, start up the [Canon LBP-660 Help] from the Windows Printing System group. ======================================================================== 7. Toner Saver Using Toner Saver mode, the objects filled with some graphic patterns may not be printed as shown on the display. ======================================================================== 8. Custom paper size Using custom paper size, throughput of the continuous printing and display of the page counts may slightly delay due to flexible paper length. ======================================================================== 9. Uninstalling network printer that other user connected When you execute the [Canon LBP-660 Uninstallation] on the PC that other user have already connected to the Canon LBP-660 network printer servers, information of the Canon LBP-660 network printer that other user connected will not be removed. In this case, other user should remove his Canon LBP-660 printer icon before you execute uninstallation. ======================================================================== 10. Halftone The Printer Halftone settings are valid when printing colored bitmap, area filling, and colored text. However the Smooth setting is only valid when printing colored bitmap. On the other hand the System Halftone settings are only valid when printing colored bitmap. ======================================================================== 11. Hold mismatched documents The Canon LBP-660 does not support "Hold mismatched documents" check box of "Scheduling" tab in "Canon LBP-660 Properties" dialog box. Don't check "Hold mismatched documents". ======================================================================== <END OF WPSC3NT.TXT>Download Driver Pack
