    "Start" button).

 6. The setup will install the Online User Manual.

2. Hardware notes.
-----------------

The Silicom Serial Card supports "Hot" insertion and removal. Thus,
the PC Card can be inserted into and/or removed from a PC that is either
switched off or switched on.

The Silicom Serial Card supports Card Services version 2.10,
including automatic resources allocation and Plug-and-Play features.
If you have a version of Card and Socket Services software before 2.10,
please contact your computer/Operating System manufacturer to receive an
upgrade.

3. Installing Silicom Serial Card Support Driver manually.
-----------------------------------------------------------

In special cases manual installation might be necessary. The following
sections describe the required procedures.

In order to work with the Silicom Serial Card without Card and Socket
Services, you need to install the Silicom Serial Card Support Driver.
Add the following line to your CONFIG.SYS file:

      DEVICE = path\SRSDRV.EXE  [parameters]

The Silicom Serial Card Support Driver may also be loaded from the DOS
command prompt or from a batch file:

      path\SRSDRV.EXE  [parameters]

Without command line parameters, the driver uses default or
auto-configured settings. To customize the driver's settings, use the
following syntax:

      SRSDRV [/irq=x] [/port=xxx] [/mem=xxxx]
             [/help] [/?] [socket=0|1] [type=x] [noenable]
             [/base=xxx] [/fast=1|2|3]

The full list of the parameters is described in the following section of
this document.

IMPORTANT! Incorrect use of parameters may result in faulty operation of
the PC Card. Make sure you are familiar with the different parameters
before using them.

4. Memory managers
------------------

If a memory manager is loaded you may experience memory setting conflicts.
To avoid this potential conflict, modify the memory manager command line
in the CONFIG.SYS file to exclude the memory range used by the Serial PC
Card. For example:
  For EMM386, type (add) the following:
      device=c:\windows\emm386.exe x=d000-d400

  For 386Max, type the following:
      device=c:\386max.sys pro=c:\386max.pro ram=d000-d400
