EtherSerial PCMCIA Adapter Driver for Windows 95 Last update: February 19, 1996 This document explains how to install EtherSerial PCMCIA Adapter in Microsoft Windows 95 operating system. BEFORE YOU START, We strongly recommend you to check the files GENERAL.TXT, HARDWARE.TXT and NETWORK.TXT for the specific details concerning your computer. These files are located in the Windows 95 directory. If you don't have the Network support installed yet, the setup procedure will prompt you to configure this service as well. To install the EtherSerial PCMCIA adapter in Windows 95 operating system do the following: 0. Start Windows 95 1. Insert the EtherSerial PCMCIA adapter into free PCMCIA slot. The Windows 95 will detect the adapter and the message "New hardware found" will appear on the screen. 2. Windows will prompt you for the driver. Insert the EtherSerial drivers disk and choose "Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer", then enter the path "A:\" and click "Ok". The EtherSerial PCMCIA adapter installation is now complete. NOTES. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
