AFUDOS-how to update.txt Driver File Contents (915GProFGR14.zip)

Note: Usually the BIOS upgrade is unnecessary if the system is working
fine without any problems. Users need not upgrade the bios unless
experiencing some incompatible problems or need BIOS upgrade to create new features.
Therefore, we highly recommend you read all the information in this section before upgrading.

"afudos.exe" is a Flash EEPROM Programming utility that updates the BIOS by
uploading a new BIOS file to the programmable flash ROM on the motherboard.
This program only works in pure DOS environment, the utility can not be executed
in win95/98, ME ,NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP environment .

Upgrading the system BIOS

Step 1. Please visit the board maker's website, download the latest BIOS file and
"afudos.exe". The BIOS file format will be *.rom, of which "*" stands for
              the specific BIOS file name.
Step 2. Create a bootable diskette. Then copy the BIOS file and "afudos.exe" into the diskette.
Step 3. Insert the diskette into drive A and reboot your system form this diskette.
Step 4. Type "afudos /i*.rom" and then press <Enter> to run BIOS upgrade program. ("*.rom"
depends on your motherboard model and version code. Instead of typying "*", you should
type specific file name for your own mainboard).
Step 5. When the message "Flash ROM Update Completed-Pass." appears, please remove the diskette
        and restart your system.
