==============================================================================

<1>. How to install this software

If you need to re-install the printer software, we strongly recommend
that you first deinstall the Driver by using the Windows "Add/Remove
Program" utility found in Windows Control Panel. After installing this
software, we recommend that you reboot Windows. The installer gives
you an opportunity to reboot at the end of the installation process.

*** IMPORTANT NOTE ***

Before you deinstall previously installed P12 NT driver please refer to
the section titled "Deinstallation notices" below.

To install this software from the Xerox website:

	1. Download the compressed printer software from the Xerox web site.
	2. Extract the compressed file by double clicking the self-extracting file.
	3. This self-extracting file will automatically create a new folder (e.g.
XCP12NT) in your hard disk and extract driver files to two floppy disks.
Please prepare two empty and formatted floppies, if you haven't done so.
	4. Please keep all option-boxes in the dialog checked as they are to ensure
the proper creations of the floppies.
	5. Continue the procedures below to start the installation (Note that it
is recommended to install the driver from the floppies).

To install this software from diskettes:

The file INSTALL.EXE installs the DocuPrint P12 Windows NT 4.0 Printer Driver
and Status Monitor onto the current Windows NT directory in the hard disk.

	1. Insert floppy 1 into Drive A.
	2. Click the START button on Windows desktop.
	3. Select RUN... command from the Start Menu.
	   A RUN dialog box appears.
(Note, do NOT use "Add Printer" wizard to install this driver)
	4. Type "A:\INSTALL.EXE" in the RUN dialog box and click the OK button.
	5. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen to finish the
	   installation.

onto your PC, then change the port assignment that is located in the
