These drivers require DirectX 5 to support DirectDraw and Direct3D applications.

A. Installing Windows 95 after installing the Stealth 3D
---------------------------------------------------------
Follow the instructions below when installing Microsoft Windows 95 (any OSR) if
the Stealth 3D 4000 is installed.

1. From the "Setup Options" window, choose Custom and click Next, enter user
information, click Next, then click Yes when asked whether Windows should
    detect hardware, click Next again.

2. Setup will proceed. When the "Computer Settings" window is displayed,
highlight Display, click Change, select "Show all devices".

3. Under "Manufacturers" select "Standard Display Types", and choose
"Standard Display Adapter (VGA)", click OK, click Next.

4. Proceed with the Windows installation.

B. If Windows 95 is already installed
--------------------------------------

1. When you first install the video card in the system and power on, Windows 95
will inform you that it has discovered a new "Standard Display Adapter (VGA)"
and will prompt you to install drivers for it. At this point you
will want to select "Do not install a driver" and click "OK".

2. Next select "Cancel" when the message box appears indicating that your
display adapter is not configured properly. Select "Cancel" once again when
the "Display Properties" dialog comes up.

3. Next right click on "My Computer" and select "Properties". Then select the
   "Device Manager" tab.

4. Now within the "Device Manager" you will want to double-click "Display
Adapters" highlight the "PCI VGA-Compatible Display Adapter" and select
   "Properties".

5. Now select the "Driver" tab and click the "Change Driver..." button.

6. Scroll through the "Hardware Type" list until you find "Display adapters".
Highlight this selection and click "OK".

7. You should then be able to highlight "(Standard display types)" and select
"OK" to accept the "Standard Display Adapter(VGA)" option.

8. Now click "OK" once again to install the "Standard Display Adapter(VGA)"
   driver.

9. When Windows 95 prompts you to restart the computer, click "Yes".

10. Once Windows 95 restarts you will want to click the "Start" button, then
    choose "Run...".

11. Now insert the Diamond Stealth 3D Series Windows 95 Display Drivers into the
appropriate drive and within the "Run" dialog box type the following:
"x:\INSTALL" where x is the corresponding letter of the drive containing
the Diamond Stealth 3D Series Windows 95 Display Drivers.

The following command line switches can be used with INSTALL:

/f This forces a Full installation
(Diamond Stealth 3D Series Windows 95
Display Driver and InControl Tools 95).

/m This forces a Minimal installation
(Diamond Stealth 3D Series Windows 95
                                        Display Driver only).

/d"drive:\path" This installs InControl Tools 95 into
drive:\path. Note that the quotes, drive
letter and path are required. In
addition, either the /f or /m switch
must be used in conjunction with this
                                        selection.

/r This forces a system reboot after
installation. Note that either the /f
or /m switch must be used in conjunction
                                        with this selection.

/nr This prevents a system reboot after
installation. Note that either the /f
or /m switch must be used in conjunction
                                        with this selection.

/u This forces an Unattended installation.
This has all of the functionality of a
/f installation, but does not launch the
setup wizard after the system reboots.

uninstall This will completely uninstall the
Diamond Stealth 3D Windows 95 Display
                                        Driver and InControl Tools 95.

12. Once the Diamond Setup Wizard dialog box appears you will be able to review
the Readme file or continue on with the installation by selecting "Next".

13. The Setup Wizard will now check for Diamond components installed in your
    computer. Click "Next" to proceed.

14. A dialog box will appear containing the path where InControl Tools 95 will
be installed. The default path is:

        "C:\Program Files\Diamond"

Select "Next" or change the path as necessary.

15. The next dialog box selects the installation type. There are three
installation types: Minimal, Full and Custom. They are defined as follows:

Minimal: This will install only the Diamond Stealth 3D
                                Series Display Driver.

Full: This will install both the Diamond Stealth 3D
Series Display Driver and InControl Tools 95.

Custom: This will allow installation of either the
Diamond Stealth 3D Series Display Driver or
InControl Tools 95. At the minimum, the Diamond
Stealth 3D Series Display Driver must be
                                installed during a first-time installation.

16. If "Custom" was selected in step 15, a dialog box will appear allowing the
selection of various items. Select the items to be installed by clicking on
them with the left mouse button. When finished, click "Next" to continue.

17. At the "Select Files to be copied" dialog box, click "Next" to begin the
    file copying process.

18. After the files have been copied you will want to click "Finish" in order to
complete the installation. Note: If applicable, please remove the floppy
diskette containing the Diamond Stealth 3D Series Display Drivers prior to
    clicking "Finish".

19. Windows 95 will ask that the computer be restarted. Click on "Yes" to
    restart the computer.

20. Once Windows 95 restarts, you will have successfully installed the software
for your Diamond Stealth 3D Series. The InControl Tools 95 Wizard will then
guide you the rest of the way. Thank you for choosing Diamond!

II. Diamond Refresh Utility
----------------------------

The Diamond Refresh Utility allows you to select the refresh rate for your
monitor which suits you best in addition to providing a display centering
utility. You may want to have your monitor's manual or specifications with you
while using this utility.

A. To access the Display Centering Utility:
--------------------------------------------

1. Click your right mouse button anywhere on the Windows background. The
   Windows desktop menu will appear.

2. Next choose "Properties" in order to bring up the "Display Properties" dialog
   box.

3. Now select the "Refresh" tab.

4. Move your mouse cursor to the screen area on the monitor graphic. You will
notice that the mouse cursor changes to a hand.

5. Press and hold your left mouse button and move the screen graphic up, down or
to either side. Note that your screen is repositioned dynamically as you
   move the mouse.

6. Release your mouse button when your screen is centered. Note: You can also
change the screen position dynamically by simultaneously pressing your <Alt>
key and either the left, right, up or down directional arrow keys.

7. A confirmation message opens to let you verify the change. Click "Yes" to
confirm the change or "No" to revert to the previous screen position. If you
don't make a choice, the message box is dismissed after a few seconds and the
screen reverts to it's previous position.

------------------------------------------

1. Click your right mouse button anywhere on the Windows background. The
    Windows desktop menu will appear.

clicking on the downward-pointing arrow to the right of the list viewer.
The list contains all available refresh rates for the currently selected
monitor type, viewport size and color palette. Note that some
    configurations offer only one choice.

5. If more than one refresh rate is available, you are provided the ability to
    select a new one.

6. If you select a new refresh rate, a confirmation message box opens. If the
new refresh rate appears stable, you can click "Yes" to confirm the
