Instructions for making the Solaris driver disk for the Initio SCSI adapter.


Unzip the archive and put the files into a temp dir on your hard drive such
as one named C:\temp.

Insert a formatted floppy disk into your floppy drive, run the following 
command from the command line:

	C:\temp\fcopy /fA100_Sol.img a:		<--- for the A100U2W 

	C:\temp\fcopy /f9100_Sol.img a:		<--- for the 9xxx series


	NOTE:	The 9xxx family includes the INI-9100A, INI-9090U, INI-9100U,
		INI-9100UW, INI-9200U/UW, INI-9400U/UW and INI-9520U/UW

		** It does NOT include the INI-9100, INI-9100W and INI-9100AS

This will give you a floppy with the Solaris drivers which you will use to
install under Solaris.

To install the drivers under Solaris during the installation of Solaris you
just need to follow the prompts to ADD drivers.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
