PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

YOU HAVE JUST DOWNLOADED THE CANON WINDOWS  DRIVERS FOR YOUR PRINTER

The drivers have been placed on your hard disk in the following location:

c:\canonbj\

In this folder you will find 3 subfolders called disk1, disk2 and disk3.

If you you wish to transfer the drivers to floppy diskette for installation on a different PC to that which you are using now, skip to the section 2, labelled FLOPPY DISK INSTRUCTIONS.

If you are presently on the PC where the driver is to be installed, continue with the following:

FOR WINDOWS 95/98
To Install these drivers perform the following steps:

1. Close all application programs such as word processors
2. Click the Windows95/98 start button
3. Select  "settings" and "printers"
4. Double Click "Add Printer"
5. Click "Next". If your computer is part of a network you will be asked to select whether the printer is a Local printer or Network printer (usually Local)
6. You will then be presented with a list of manufacturers and models of printers. At this point select "HAVE DISK"
7. In the box labelled: "Copy Manufacturers Files from:" type "c:\canonbj\disk1" and click OK
8. Select your model from the list and click "Next"
9. Select the port to which the printer is connected (usually LPT1-Printer Port)
10. Click Next, then choose whether or not you want a test page to be printed. (Make sure the printer is ready to print with paper loaded if you select "yes" to the test print)
11. Follow the instructions, and if/when requested to insert disk 2 or 3, click OK then type 
	"c:\canonbj\disk2" or "c:\canonbj\disk3" as appropriate.
12. The Driver will now be installed. You are ready to start printing.


FOR WINDOWS 3.1 and 3.11
To install these drivers perform the following steps:

1.Close all applications such as word processors
2.From Program Manager select MAIN
3.Select CONTROL PANEL
4.Select PRINTERS
5.Click ADD
6.Select Unlisted or Updated Printer and click INSTALL
7. Type "c:\canonbj\disk1" in the location box (without the quotation marks) and click OK 
8.Select your model of Canon Bubblejet from the list
9.The driver will then install from the disk. You may be prompted to insert disk (2) or disk (3) Please click ok and type "c:\canonbj\disk2" or "c:\canonbj\disk3" as requested on the screen.

SECTION 2. Floppy Disk Instructions:

If you have downloaded the files and wish to transfer them to floppy disk for use on another PC, please perform the following:

1. Click Start, Programs, Windows Explorer.
2. Locate the folder C:\canonbj\disk1. Right click on this folder and select   Send to 3 1/2 inch floppy disk. Ensure you have a blank disk loaded.
3. Locate the folder C:\canonbj\disk2 and repeat the procedure to send to disk. Ensure that a second disk is inserted. Repeat for disk 3 and so on.
4. Now you have your disks, proceed to installation:

FOR WINDOWSO 95/98
To Install these drivers perform the following steps:

1. 	Close all application programs such as word processors
2. 	Click the Windows95/98 start button
3. 	Select  "settings" and "printers"
4. 	Double Click "Add Printer"
5. 	Click "Next". If your computer is part of a network you will be asked to select whether the printer is a Local printer or Network printer (usually Local)

7. 	Place DRIVER DISK 1 in your floppy drive. in the box labelled: "Copy Manufacturers Files from:"  type "a:\disk1" and click OK
8. 	Select your model from the list and click "Next"
9. 	Select the port to which the printer is connected (usually LPT1-Printer Port)
10. Click Next, then choose whether or not you want a test page to be printed. (Make sure the printer is ready to print with paper loaded if you select "yes" to the test print)
11. Follow the instructions, and when requested, insert disk 2 and type "a:\disk2" and so on.
12. The Driver will now be installed. You are ready to start printing.


FOR WINDOWSO 3.1 and 3.11
To install these drivers perform the following steps:

1.	Close all applications such as word processors
2.	From Program Manager select MAIN
3.	Select CONTROL PANEL
4.	Select PRINTERS
5.	Click ADD
6.	Select Unlisted or Updated Printer and click INSTALL
7.	Insert disk number (1) and type "a:\disk1" into the location box.
8.	Select your model of Canon Bubblejet from the list
9.	The driver will then install from the disk. You may be prompted to insert disk (2) Please insert Disk (2) when this occurs. Click ok and change the location to "a:\disk2"
