GTCO 32 BIT WINTAB DRIVER FOR WINDOWS NT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 4/17/97 This driver should be used with any 32 bit Windows applications running under Windows NT. Listed below are the installation instructions for this driver. NOTE:TO USE THE WINTAB IN WINDOWS NT YOU MUST HAVE A SERIAL OR A BUS MOUSE CONNECTED. When using the Type 5, Type 5A or Digi-Pad PC Controller the switches should be set as follows: S1 - 3 4 8 ON S2 - 5 ON S3 - 3 4 7 ON (**NOTE: If using a 16 btn cursor S3-5 should be ON) When using the Type 12, Super L II Plus, Super LX, Roll-Up, Roll-Up II or Cordless Roll-Up use a SuperSet Code of "S01". When using the AccuTab or SurfaceLit AccuTab use an AccuSet Code of "A01". From the File Manager in Windows NT, run the "INSTALL.EXE" program. One of the first questions you will be asked is whether you want to run the WinTab on start-up or not. We recommend selecting "YES" for this answer. This way the driver will load each time you start Windows. After all files have been copied to the appropriate places the installation program will ask questions about the COM port to which you digitizer is connected as well as the type of digitizer you are using. When these questions have been answered and installation is complete, be sure to close all files that remain open with the exception of the "Mouse Emulator". This is the driver and if it is not running minimized, then the tablet will not work. Once WinTab has been installed, the tablet will be able to work as a mouse in Windows NT and its applications as long as a serial or bus mouse is connected to the computer. Then in any application that supports a "WinTab Digitizer" the tablet will work in an absolute tablet mode. If you have any questions or if the driver does not work, please contact the GTCO Technical Support Department at (410) 381-6688.Download Driver Pack
