A.)Install Miniport driver to the Win9x
Miniport Driver Installation on Win9x

1. Plug Macronix's MX98713 Fast Ethernet PCI adapter into one
of the Master PCI slots of your PCI platform.
2. Turn power on then boot from Windows 9x.
3. Windows 9x will prompt Fast Ethernet PCI Controller in New
Hardware Found dialog box.
4. Select "Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer" from New
Hardware Found dialog box, then click OK button.
5. Insert the Macronix Driver Diskette in your floppy drive.
6. Enter the driver pathname, i.e. A:\WIN9X , then click OK
button from Install from Disk dialog box.
7. Select your installed adapter from
MXIC MX98713 Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter
then click OK button from Select Device dialog box.
8. Follow screen instructions to complete the process.
9. Restart your computer.
B.)Install Miniport driver to the NT
1 In the Main group of NT, choose the Control Panel icon.
2 In the Control Panel window, choose the Network icon.
3 In the Network Settings dialog box, choose the Add Adapter
button. The Add Network Adapter dialog box appears.
4 In the list of network cards, select "<other> Requires disk from
manufacturer", and then press <Enter> button.
5 Insert this driver disk in drive A, enter drive and pathname
A:\Winnt and then choose the OK button.
6 In the Select OEM Option dialog box, you will see the following
products in the menu, select the exact product and use OK button
to install it.
"MXIC MX98713 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter."
7 After that, installation is completed. MX98713 adapter becomes one
of those Installed Adapter Cards and driver become one of those
Installed Network Software. You can see: "[0x]Macronix MX98713 PCI
Fast Ethernet Adapter" within Installed Adapter Cards menu and
"MXIC MX98713 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter Driver" within
Installed Network Software menu.
8 Now, the SETUP program has already copied MXNIC.SYS from
A:\WINNT directory to C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS and
the OEMSETUP.INF from A:\WINNT to C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32
but renamed it to other installation information file. So next
time, if you want to add MX98713 adapters to your system, you
do not need floppy diskette again.
9 To complete network installation, remember binding the adapter to
transport drivers by choosing "Bindings" button under Network Setting
dialog box.
10 Restarting your system you will acquire network service.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
