For the earlier version of Windows 95:

1. you need the two files (serwave.vxd &
   serwvdrv.drv) in this this floppy disk to install the wave device. When
   Windows 95 prompt you to select other location for the files, you can select
   a:\   For other files you can select the location of your Windows95 CD-ROM.

For the latest version of Windows 95:

1.  the two files will be transferred from your Windows 95 CD-ROM.

2.  If Setup Wizard can't find then driver in A:/, you have to add the driver
    in modem properties then remove it, then update the driver in Device
    Manager-driver-Properties.

       - In Setup Wizard, Select [Next] -> [Finish]

       - After Windows 95 boot up, Select [Start] -> [Settings]
         -> [Control Panel] -> [Modems]

       - Follow the instruction to add a modem driver from A:/ (notes: select
         the modem number of XL-S336E)

       - After Add a modem, Remove the same modem driver.

       - Select [Start] -> [Settings] -> [Control Panel] -> [System]
         -> [Device Manager] -> [Modems] -> [Modem Driver]

       - Click [Properties] button -> [Driver] tab -> [Update] button,
         then follow the instruction to update the driver (notes: select
         manufactory of X-Link then find the modem number of XL-S336E)

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
