Setup instructions for Windows 98 :
===================================


1. Delete the "PCI Ethernet Controller" DEVICE 

- Go to the "System Properties" Window
- Go to "Device Manager" , "Other devices"
- Remove the device named "PCI Ethernet Controller"
  (You should have an icon with a question mark on it indicating 
   that the adapter is not recognized by the Operating System).


2. Install the "HP EN1207D-TX 10/100 RPO Fast Ethernet Adapter" 
   driver  

- Shutdown and Restart your computer
- System will detect a New PCI Ethernet Card, insert drivers disk
- Enter full path to network drivers, follow instructions
- Enter the Network identication for your PC
  (Computer name , Workgroup , Computer description )
- Shutdown and restart your computer to finish setting your 
  devices. 
- Enter your "Network user name" and 
  your "Network password"

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
