Presents a summary of the contents for Netware Client32 driver installation. 1207ODI.LAN Client32 ODI driver for HP NETWORK CARD - EN1207D-TX Adapter This driver complies with Netware ODI Server driver SPEC 3.31 1207ODI.LDI The driver (1207ODI.LAN) installation information file for Netware Server 4.11, DOS32, Microsoft Windows 3.x. 1207ODI.INF The driver (1207ODI.LAN) installation information file for Microsoft Windows 95. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- B. Driver Installation for DOS32 1. If you have finished installing the Netware Client 32 for DOS, all you have to do is to modify STARTNET.BAT. Please see the sample STARTNET.BAT below. If not, please follow the step 2 - step 7 below. Sample STARTNET.BAT is as follow: SET NWLANGUAGE=English C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\NIOS.EXE LOAD C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\LSLC32.NLM LOAD C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\CMSM.NLM LOAD C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\ETHERTSM.NLM LOAD C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\1207ODI.LAN FRAME=ETHERNET_802.2 LOAD C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\1207ODI.LAN FRAME=Ethernet_802.3 LOAD C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\1207ODI.LAN FRAME=Ethernet_II LOAD C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\1207ODI.LAN FRAME=Ethernet_SNAP LOAD C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\IPX.NLM LOAD C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\CLIENT32.NLM C: 2. Run INSTALL.EXE from Netware DOS 32 diskette 1 (or from Netware 4.11 CD). When the product menu appears, mark the "Netware Client 32 for DOS" item, then press <Enter>. 3. Select "OTHER DRIVERS" item from "32-bit Network Board Drivers" menu, then press <Enter>. 4. Select "USER SPECIFIED 32 BIT DRIVER." press <Enter>. 5. Insert HP Driver Diskette into your floppy diskette drive, then specify the driver path, such as A: or B:. 6. Follow instructions to complete Client32 for DOS software installation. 7. Reboot your machine. C. Driver Installation for Microsoft Windows 3.x Please refer to Content B., in step 2, mark "Netware Client 32 for DOS" and "Client 32 for Windows"; in step 5, specify the driver path as A:\LANDRV32 or B:\LANDRV32. then follow step 3..7 to complete the installation. D. Driver Installation for Microsoft Windows 95 If you have installed the Microsoft Client in your Windows 95 system, you should remove the adapter object and NDIS 2(3) driver for the adapter from the Windows 95 system. If you have previously installed an HP Network Card NDIS 2(3) driver, you should take the following steps before installing the HP Network Card Client32 driver. D.1 Remove the previously installed adapter object & driver for the HP Network Card, if any. ============================================================== 1. Click the "My Computer" icon in the Main Program Group. 2. Click the "Control Panel" icon in My Computer window. 3. Click the "System" icon in the Control Panel window. 4. Click the "Network adapter" icon in System window. 5. Click the "HP EN120D-TX Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter" icon in System window. 6. Click <Remove> button, then click <OK> button. 7. Close the opened windows. D.2 Client 32 Driver Installation in Windows 95 =============================================== 8. Plug the HP Network Card into one of the PCI slots of your PC machine. 9. Turn the power on to boot up Windows 95. 10. Windows 95 will then prompt with "HP EN1207D-TX PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter" in New Hardware Found dialog box. 11. Follow instructions to complete the installation. Note: Windows 95 will ask you to key in the proper path of the following diskette: a. Netware Client 32 for Windows 95 Disk, b. PCI-Bus Ethernet Adapter Driver Diskette --> Insert Driver Diskette, then, assign the path to A:\LANDRV32 or B:\LANDRV32 c. Windows 95 CD-ROM E. Driver Installation for Novell NetWare V4.11 Server Requirements ------------ Make sure you have the following: 1. Driver Diskette Installation Procedure ---------------------- 1. Insert the Driver Diskette that comes with the package into drive A: and check the contents of the subdirectory \LANDRV32. It should have the following files: 1207ODI.LAN ----> your Novell NetWare v4.x Server Driver 1207ODI.LDI ----> your Novell NetWare v4.x Server Driver configuration files 2. At the NetWare prompt (indicated by the Server name), run the INSTALL.NLM program by typing: server name: LOAD INSTALL <Enter> 3. Follow screen instruction to complete the process. Respond to prompts displayed on the screen. Select the following items in the order given below. Press <Enter> to confirm each choice: Maintenance/Selective Install <Enter> LAN Driver Options (Configure/Load/...) <Enter> 4. Press the <Ins> key to insert other drivers you wish to install. 5. Press <F3> to display the driver loading path as follows: A:\LANDRV32 <Enter> 6. The 1207ODI.LAN will appear as an item under the "Select a LAN Driver" menu. Choose the correct board number and Select it to load the driver and start the binding process. This will allow you to load and bind all 4 frame types supported by NetWare. 7. Next time you reboot your NetWare 4.11 server, do so by following steps 2 to 4 above. -- End of File --Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
