1) System Requirements
   ===================
   This driver should be installed on Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000,
   and Millennium.

2) Package Version Identify
   ========================
    1. In this package, there is a TXT file named VIAMACH.REV. You can see
       this package release version in this file. ex. If you can see 1.02a
       in this file, our Setup program will show 1.02a in driver installation
       screen.

    2. This package release version is 1.02b.

    3. The driver version included in this package(Ver 1.02b)

   execute the .EXE file to uncompress it.

4)  Installation
    ============
    Method 1: 
       Run "setup -b -s ". It will install the relative information of 
       chipset automatically on your system. It will copy the inf file
       "ViaMach.inf" to the '\WINDOWS\INF\' and remove the related registry
       tree and then reboot the system. The order of parameter can not be 
       violated, it must be "-b -s".

    Method 2: 
       Run "setup -s". The same effect as Method 1 except the system will
       not reboot.

    Method 3:
       Click the SETUP.EXE program then it will install the relative information
       of chipset automatically on your system. It will copy the inf file
       "ViaMach.inf" to the '\WINDOWS\INF\' and remove the related registry
       tree and then select "Restart" or "Restart later".    

5) OPK files
   =========
   The files under "WIN95", "WIN98", "WIN98se", "WINMe" and "WIN2000"
   subfolder are for aPK used.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
