README Information for Beta Testers of the Windows 2000 ISDN Drivers
(see below for a german version of this text)

This beta version of the TELES.ISDN drivers (CAPI 3.36) is designed to be
used with the TELES.RVS-PowerPack 1.70 under Windows2000.

New Features:
    - it runs on multiprocessor PCs
    - it supports multiple TELES ISDN adapters simultaneously
    - it supports more than 2 ISDN channels for internet access 

Removed Features:
    - CAPI protocol module for G3 fax and
    - CAPI protocol module for modem emulation
      These protocols are only part of the TELES.RVS-PowerPack application 
      package. The RVS fax application and modem emulation (virtual COM ports)
      continue to work as usual. Only CAPI application packages from other 
      manufacturers will not find any fax or modem emulation support at the CAPI
      interface.
    - Channel bundling for filetransfer (RVS TransferMaster). However, the channel 
      bundling for internet access will work as usual.

Die vorliegende Beta-Version der CAPI 3.36 ist für den Betrieb mit dem 
TELES.RVS-PowerPack 1.70 unter Windows2000 konzipiert.

neue Features:
    - Multiprozessor-Unterstützung
    - Unterstützung für mehrere Karten in einem Rechner
    - Unterstützung von mehr als 2 Kanälen über den Netzwerk-Treiber 
      (Internetverbindungen - bei mehreren Karten)

nicht mehr unterstützte Features:
    - CAPI-Protokollmodul für FAX: 
    - CAPI-Protokollmodul für Modememulation:
      Diese Protokollmodule sind ab CAPI 3.36 nur noch Bestandteil 
      des TELES.RVS-PowerPacks, d.h. über dieses Programmpaket stehen
      Ihnen die Faxfunktion und die Modememulation (COM-Ports) wie gewohnt
      zur Verfügung. Sie werden allerdings nicht mehr an der CAPI-Schnittstelle
      angeboten und sind daher für fremde CAPI-Applikationen nicht mehr nutzbar.
    - keine Unterstützung von Kanalbündelung beim Dateitransfer (RVS-TransferMaster)

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

• Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

• If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

• Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

• Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

• Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

• From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

• Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
