Setting Up Your PCI2 Modem with Windows 95
------------------------------------------

If you are running the Windows 95 operating system, your PCI2 is not
automatically detected by the Plug and Play feature of Windows 95. Follow
the procedure below to complete the setup of your PCI2 with Windows 95.

1. Before plugging in your PCI2 card you have to run the install disk bundled
    to the card.

  1.1. In the Win95 "RUN"
    1.1.1. Type "A:INSTALL" <CR>

1.2. Then you have to find free memory space in the computer.
    1.2.1. Click on "My Computer"
    1.2.2. Click on "Control Panel"
    1.2.3. Click on "System"
1.2.4 Choose the "Devicemanager"-pane and highlight "Computer"
    1.2.5. Click on "Properties"
1.2.6. Click on memory and find free memory at location
            000C0000--000C7FFF, or
            000C8000--000CFFFF, or
            000D0000--000D7FFF, or
            000D8000--000DFFFF, or
            000E0000--000E7FFF, or
            000E8000--000EFFFF

1.2.7. If free memory space then click on "Reserve" and then again on
            "Memory"
    1.2.8. Click on "Add"
1.2.9. Type in the address which you have found free.

1.3. Then find the file "C:\PC_ISDN\CISDNAPI.CFG" and double click on
it, to edit it. Type in the selected memory space (instead of the D0000)
detected. The string should be like this:

		    C:\PC_ISDN\GIPA2.LOD D0000 380 3

Ensure that the path to the file is correct - then, save the file and exit.

1.4. Now you must edit Autoexec.bat
1.4.1. "RUN" "sysedit" and edit "AUTOEXEC.BAT"

           Add the line:

	          C:\PC_ISDN\ATLOAD.EXE C:\PC_ISDN\CISDNAPI.CFG

to the file. Save it and exit.

1.5. Now configure the PCI2 card switches to chosen memory space.

4. Then, install the Windows 95 script driver for your PCI2 card.

  4.1. Click on "My Computer"
  4.2. Click on "Control Panel"
  4.3. Click on "Modem"
  4.4. Click on "Add new"

NOTE: Do NOT choose automatic search for modem. The PCI2 has no
autobaud so this will give wrong settings.

4.5. Choose "Have disk" and now you shall choose the wanted protocol and
speed. NOTE: The factory default speed is 9600 but the factory setting
can be overwritten if the PCI2 card has been used in other cases. YOU
must know the speed for your PCI2 board to get the PCI2 working.

5. Now you have installed the PCI2 card in the WIN95 environment.

6. Close the computer and Restart it, and it is ready to work.

7. If it doesn't work several things could be causing it:

  7.1. Conflict on Interrupt.

  7.2. Conflict on Memory

7.3. PCI2 memory space not set correct. See manual.

  7.4. DTE-speed doesn't match last used DTE-speed. Try different
       port-speeds from terminal program.
