Windows 2000 DRIVER INSTALLATION

This document briefly describes how to install ET32/P Series PCI
Ethernet Adapter under Windows 2000 environment.

Driver Installation
==================================================================

To install the ET32/P, plug the adapter into the PC and make sure
the cable is connected to it and an active hub.

During startup the adapter is identified by Windows 2000 as 
"KTI ET32/P Series PCI Ethernet Adapter" and automitically loads 
the required driver. After the bootup sequence, the ET32/P should
function correctly.

Troubleshooting
==================================================================

If the PC is still unable to connect to the network, check
if the adapter is functioning correctly through the device
manager.

This can be done by checking the device status of the adapter
by selecting the adapter, click on the Action menu and select
Properties.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
