   CONFIGURE THE NETWORK DRIVER FOR A NEW WINDOWS
   ----------------------------------------------
   Before beginning, connect the adapter to the network system.

   To configure the adapter's driver for a new Windows, please follow the
   on-screen instruction for "Windows Setup" procedure until a "Network
   Setup" Window pop-up.

   1. Select "Networks..." button for installing the network adapter
      driver.

   2. Select "Install Microsoft Windows Network:" and "Ok".

   3. Select "Drivers" button.

   4. Select "Add Adapter" button.

   5. Select "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter" item bar on the Adapter
      list.

   6. System prompts you to insert driver diskette and enter the path of
      the driver directory.

   7. Insert the adapter's driver diskette into drive A: and enter
      A:\WFW311.

   8. The following three items appear in the list:

       "KTI ET32/P2 PCI Ethernet Adapter"
       "KTI ET32/PC PCI Ethernet Adapter"
       "KTI ET32/PT PCI Ethernet Adapter"

       Select the right one for your installation.

   9.  Select "OK" button.

   10. "KTI ET32/Px PCI Ethernet Adapter [NDIS2]" bar appears. It
       indicates the NDIS2 driver to be used and copied into your Windows
       system.

   11. Select "Setup" button to review more information.

   12. Ignore the system pre-defined "Hardware Settings" on the screen.
       At this step, you may select the "Driver type". Either "Real Mode
       NDIS Driver" or "ODI driver" can be used.

   13. If there are two or more adapters in the system, you should select
       "Advanced" button to choose a specific adapter to be configured.

   14. Select "OK" button to complete "Setup" window.

   15. Select "Close" to finish "Drivers" window.

   16. Now, the network adapter and driver have been added into your
       Windows. Continue to follow the instruction for the rest Windows
       installation.


   ADD ET32/Px ADAPTER AND NETWORK DRIVER TO YOUR EXISTING WINDOWS
   ---------------------------------------------------------------

   Procedure :

   It is assumed that the Windows for Workgroups 3.11 has been setup in
   your computer without any network driver installed.

   You may use either NDIS2 driver or Netware ODI driver for your
   installation. If ODI driver is used, you have to start Netware DOS
   client softwares before you start Windows for Workgroup 3.11. Refer to
   \DOS\install.doc file in this driver diskette for more information on
   how to setup the Netware DOS client software using ODI driver.

   The following procedure only describes how to setup the network driver
   for the adapter:

   1. Turn your computer off.

   2. Install the adapter into your computer and connect it to the network      system.

   3. After the adapter installation, turn your computer on.

   4. Make sure your computer is under DOS.

   5. Start your Windows for Workgroups 3.11.

   6. Select "Program Manager".

   7. Select "Network" icon.

   8. Select "Network Setup" icon.

   9. Select "Drivers" button.

   10. Select "Add Adapter" button.

   11. Select "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter" item bar on the
       Adapter list.

   12. System prompts you to insert the adapter's driver diskette and
       enter the path of the driver directory.

   13. Insert the driver diskette into drive A: and enter A:\WFW311.

   14. The following three items appear in the list.

       "KTI ET32/P2 PCI Ethernet Adapter"
       "KTI ET32/PC PCI Ethernet Adapter"
       "KTI ET32/PT PCI Ethernet Adapter"

       Select the right one for your installation.

   15. Select "OK" button.

   16. "KTI ET32/Px PCI Ethernet Adapter [NDIS2]" bar appears.

       It indicates the NDIS2 driver to be used and copied into your
       Windows system.

   17. Select "Setup" button to review more information.

   18. Ignore the system pre-defined "Hardware Settings" on the screen.
       At this step, you may select the "Driver type". Either "Real Mode
       NDIS Driver" or "ODI driver" can be used.

   19. If there are two or more adapters in the system, you should select

   21. Select "Close" to finish "Drivers" window.

   22. Now, the network adapter and driver have been added into your
       Windows.

   23. Follow the on-screen instruction to complete "Windows Setup".

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
