MKS2D.EXE v 3.6.7 ================= Internal release. MKS2D.EXE v 3.6.8 ================= Internal release. MKS2D.EXE v 3.6.6 ================= Enhancements: ------------- * Added the "-c" command line option so the program can be used to reserve an S2D partition without generating any error messages. * Any pre-existing MKS2D.DAT file is deleted if it is not needed. Fixes: ------ * MKS2D.EXE version 3.6.5 required a bootable (active) DOS partition on the drive, if the file system had to be used. Now the file system can be used if the disk has any DOS partition. * Fixed problem in MKS2D.EXE version 3.6.5 where some combinations of memory sizes and drive parameters caused an erroneous search of the DOS partition for parts of MKS2D.DAT. This caused the program to take a long time to complete--the larger the drive, the longer it took. * MKS2D.EXE checks the data structure that is created to ensure that the structure is adequate. Specifically, if the file system is used, MKS2D.EXE checks to make sure no part of the MKS2D.DAT file lies beyond the 8.4 GB location on the drive. MKS2D.EXE v 3.6.5 ================= Changes to support disk drives with capacities greater than 8.4 GB. In earlier versions, the S2D partition was always placed in unpartitioned space (if there was any) at the end of the disk. * The program attempts to place the entire S2D data structure in the S2D partition. MKS2D.EXE uses the file system only when there isn't a large enough partition to hold the entire data structure. * The S2D partition is now placed in the first unpartitioned area of the disk that is large enough to hold the entire data structure (usually at the front of the disk). If no area is large enough, MKS2D.EXE uses the largest area in combination with the file system. Any unpartitioned area beyond 8.4 GB can not and will not be used. * Out-of-order partition table entries are now handled. * End *Download Driver Pack
