The following items must be installed prior to QLView NetAgent:

    NetWare Server
    --------------
    - NetWare 5 server with support pack NW5SP4.
    - QL2200.HAM version 5.30a or later.
    - QL2100.HAM version 5.30a or later.

    Windows NT Client
    -----------------
    - NetWare Client software (from Novell)
    - Network protocols "NWLink IPX/SPX compatible transport" and
      "NWLink NetBios"
    - Map drive letter to SYS volume of NetWare server
    - DMI 2.0 Win32 Service Provider Client


The QLView NetAgent Installation program should be executed from a
Windows NT client system.  The following software is contained in
this package:

    - Section 1: DMI 2.0 NetWare Service Provider
    - Section 2: DMI 2.0 ONC Client
    - Section 3: QLogic NetWare DMI Agent


Section 1: The DMI 2.0 NetWare Service Provider (from Intel) selection
           will install the following files to your NetWare server:

        Installed in the SYS:\SYSTEM directory

        NWSL.NLM        - DMI Service Layer for NetWare 4.x/5.x
        NWDMI2.NLM      - DMI 2.0 Wrapper
        NWCDMI.NLM      - NetWare DMI Local Client Front End
        ONCSP.NLM       - DMI 2.0 ONC Service Provider

        Installed in the SYS:\SYSTEM\DMI\NETWARE\MIFS\BACKUP directory

        NWSL.MIF        - DMI Service layer MIF file


Section 2: The DMI 2.0 ONC Client selection will install
           the following files to both your NT client and NetWare server:

        Installed in the SYS:\ETC directory

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
