Qi60up.txt Driver File Contents (QI60UP.EXE)

It is recommended that you print these instructions out so that
you can refer to them easily during the installation of these
drivers and updates. The updates and steps should be done in the
order shown.



---------------- Set the File View in Windows. -----------------------

1. Double-click on the "My Computer" icon on the Windows desktop.
2. Double-click on the "(C:)" hard drive icon.
3. From the list of folders find and double-click on the "DVD" folder.
4. Double-click on the "Player" folder.
5. From the menu at the top of the window click "VIEW", then choose "Folder Options".
6. Click on the "View" tab.
7. Remove the checkmark from "Hide file extensions for known file types" 
and click "Show all files" option under the "Hidden files" category, then 
click "Apply", then "Like Current Folder", then select "Yes", then click "OK".
8. Close the open Window(s).

------------------Video card driver update-----------------------

To update the nVidia TNT family video card drivers follow these
steps:

1. Click on START | SETTINGS | CONTROL PANEL.
2. From the CONTROL PANEL, double-click on the "DISPLAY" icon.
3. From the "Display Properties" window click on the "Settings"
   tab.
4. Click the "Advanced" button in the lower right hand corner.
5. Click on the "Adapter" tab, then click the "Change" button in
   the top right-hand corner.
6. On the "Update Device Driver Wizard" window click "NEXT".
7. Select "Display a list of all the drivers in a specific
   location, so you can select the driver you want" option.
   Then click "NEXT".
8. Click the "Have Disk" button.
9. When the "Install From Disk" window appears, type:

   C:\DVD\VIDEO 

   then click "OK".
10. From the "Select Device" window make sure that "Diamond Viper
    V770D" or "32MB Diamond Viper V770D Ultra NVIDIA" is
    selected, then click "OK". 
    (Note: These drivers will work with 16mb Diamond TNT
    video cards and the 16mb STB TNT cards as well)
11. If an "Update Driver Warning" window appears click "YES".
12. Click "NEXT" and files should begin to copy. When the file
    copy has completed click "FINISH".
13. Click "CLOSE", and then click "CLOSE" again to close the
    Display Properties window.
14. When the "Systems Settings Change" window appears click
    "YES".

The updated nVidia TNT family video card drivers are now
installed.



------------------------QI DVD Player update---------------------

To update the QI DVD player follow these steps.

1. Double-click on the "My Computer" icon on the Windows desktop.
2. Double-click on the "(C:)" hard drive icon.
3. From the list of folders find and double-click on the "DVD"
   folder.
4. Double-click on the file "Install Player.Bat". 
5. The update will start to install. When it is finished it will
   prompt
   to restart the system. Restart the system.
6. As Windows is starting it will re-detect the DVD decoder card
   in two parts and install the drivers.
7. At the desktop click on START | PROGRAMS | DVD PLAYER |DVD
   PLAYER. This will start the QI DVD player.
8. A message will be displayed which will ask if you wish to make
   the QI DVD player the default DVD player when you insert a DVD
   disc. Choose YES.

The updated QI DVD player is now installed.

The updates should now be complete.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
