PowerVault 128T LTO Library Firmware 1.40.D
Previous version: 1.35.D or 1.36.D

The following problems are fixed:
* Fixed: Need to report 12 bytes of S/N for SDLT drives for "Read Element Status" command. Was previously reporting only 10 bytes.
* Fixed: Certain conditions could cause the RMC to hang and not respond to the web browser.
* Fixed: Error reporting of HP-LTO Tape Alert messages.
* Fixed: Replacing a fibre bridge would cause “Drive’s not on Fibre” error on the initial power up sequence.
* Fixed: "I2C_NO_MSG_ERROR" displayed on the front panel. The library must be power cycled to recover.

The following enhancements have been added:
* MIB enhancements
o Add service tag field
o Added fibre information fields
o Added RMU count
o Added picker count
o Added Service Tag field on RMC
* Firmware download to HP-LTO drives over RMC. Must have revision “E22V” or later of LTO drive firmware.
* “Auto Select” addressing mode is no longer available for fibre.
* RMC will display source and destination information on failed moves.
* Added the ability to set default fibre configurations on the front panel.

PowerVault 128T LTO Tape Drive Firmware E24V
Previous version: E15V 4.183

* Reliability improvement to address occasional write hangs while appending, caused by the presence of old data sets in the buffer.
* Implemented a check that all of the entries in the tape directory have their CRCs recalculated before the tape directory is written to the cartridge memory.
* Fixed hangs when the drive is left idle without being rewound in between backups.  Timeouts at the Netware applications were seen in this mode.
* Fixed a bug that could put the HP-LTO drive into a DiagLite mode. DiagLite mode is a state the drive enters into whenever a catastrophic firmware error occurs.  A drive will alternately blink the upper two LED’s with the lower two LEDs.   It will be taken off line by the library.
* Recreate a file ID mark at the beginning of tape when a short erase was immediately followed by a write command.
* Fixed occasional drive hangs in the library connected to the host that is polling for drive information at a very fast rate during a power-on (POST).
* Fixed the false reporting of the failed firmware update in the Library and Tape Tools (LTT) when the download in fact was successful.
* Implemented support for the Universal Cleaning Cartridge (UCC).  The HP Universal cleaning cartridge can be used in both HP and non-HP Ultrium standalone tape drives and libraries.
* A space to an End Of Data mark can sometimes find an old, previously written EOD mark if it is in close proximity to the newer EOD mark. If a write append operation occurs from the old EOD mark, the old information between the old EOD and new EOD that should have been overwritten will remain on the tape, causing the drive to go through slow retry operations.
