Use the import function of the LAN Manager installer to capture the NDIS driver from the EtherDisk diskette. Be sure to save the new configuration before exiting the installer. DOS installation with Lan Manager 2.2 ------------------------------------- The following describes the procedure for importing the driver during installation of Lan Manager 2.2 for DOS. 1. Begin the MS-DOS Lan Manager installation by inserting the MS-DOS Setup diskette and typing A:SETUP. 2. After reading the Microsoft Drivers 1 diskette, a window is displayed showing available Network Adapter Drivers. In this window choose the following function: Select Other Driver (Alt-D) 3. When prompted to insert your network driver diskette, insert the EtherDisk. 4. After the driver is imported from the EtherDisk, a box will be displayed showing the driver. Select the FE574B-3Com 10/100 LAN PCCard-Fast Ethernet driver. 5. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
