Installing Device Drivers for Softex Docking Services
-----------------------------------------------------

When you insert a Docking station in the notebook, a dialog box with the
following text is displayed:

You are prompted to install the driver for the docking device inserted.
Select one of the following options (some options may be disabled based
on the drivers available):

* Install system provided driver for the selected device (recommended).
This selection is recommended. Use it to automatically install the
driver for the device. You may be prompted to provide information
about pathnames, and so on. Follow the directions provided for the
device driver you are trying to install. Whenever possible, use the
default selection to minimize configuration issues.

If Softex Docking Services detects a conflict in configuration
settings of the driver, you will be informed of a driver error.
Softex Docking Services will prompt you to try other driver settings.

* Manually install the driver for the selected device.
This option is recommended only for advanced users who have extensive
experience with installing device software under Windows NT. If you
use this option, you must select the type of device you are trying to
install. The appropriate control panel appears for the type of device
you inserted. Install the driver from the control panel. Softex
Docking Services cannot effectively determine whether you have made
configuration errors while installing the driver. You must manually
adjust the configuration settings if the card does not work properly.

* Do not install any driver for the selected device.
If you make this selection, the driver installation process will
        terminate.

* Do not display this dialog for this device again.
If you make this selection, after selecting the "Do not install any
driver for this card" option, then you will not see this dialog box
again when you redock for this particular device.
