IMPROVEMENTS
Copy Flag detection for continuos Audio tracks:
On audio CDs, without pre-gaps in-between the tracks, the copy bit wasn't always correctly detected.
Improved response on Get Mechanical Status Command
When the allocation length is set to zero, the drive will not report an error (cfr. the ATAPI specifications).
Improvement for occasional "Overlapped Commands Occurred" Error
Sometimes, the drive returned unexpectedly the "Overlapped Commands Occurred" error.
Awake from Sleep mode:
The drive now wakes up from sleep mode with an ARST or SRST command.
Improvement for Soft Error reporting:
We will deliver all data to the host before posting soft-error (01/17/00 or 01/18/00)
Improved performance for writing:
The data transfer speed between the host and the drive is optimized. With this optimization chances for Buffer Underrun Error will be minimized.  
Enhanced data transfer rate:
The drive will consistently return 32X during transfer-rate benchmarking. 
Spin-up improvements:
The drive will respond faster on host access commands from a spin-down mode to ready.
Write strategy for Recordable Discs
We Improved the type detection and write strategy determination for CD-Rs.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
