To install the new driver follow the steps below: Download the Zip file to an empty directory on your hard drive and unzip the file. Copy the OEMSETUP.inf and the dellbp.cat files to a floppy (note: If you are downloading the file to the computer on which the INF file will be installed, you may skip copying to a floppy and install directly from the drive which contains the unzipped files. 1- Right click on "My Computer" icon and select "Manage" 2- Click on Device manager 3- Expand the "Unknown Device" applet to surface the backplane driver 4- Right click and select "uninstall" on all shown backplane drivers. 5- Once the uninstall has taken place, click on the top/left "Action" applet and select "Scan for Hardware changes" 6- Windows 2000 will re-detect the backplane and ask for a driver. Click next. 7- Insert the floppy containing the backplane inf file and select "Search for a suitable driver for my device" and click next. 8- Select the "Specify a location" box only and click next. 9- "A:\" should be highlighted in the "Copy manufactures files from:" box, click next. (Windows 2000 will auto-detect and install the correct backplane driver)Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
