NDIS 2 DOS Driver for 3Com 10/100 V.90 Mini-PCI Combo Card

File Name Release Date CRC

EL556.DOS 02/22/2001 5B8031C8

The driver clears the 04 offset in the PCI config registers to allow successfull
unattended installation process.

Original driver would cause an error in the Device Manager of the OS once the unatteded installation
process was complete. The NIC would not function when this occurred. Doing a warm boot would not resolve
issue. Only doing a cold boot would.

NOTE: Use this driver only if you are having problems with the unattended installation process. Some systems
go through the unattended installation process successfully with original NDIS2 driver.

This driver also prevents the corruption of C-Port docking stations NICs. The previous driver would corrupt the C-Port
docking staion NIC if a DOS boot disk with the 3Com 10/100 Mini-PCI NDIS2 driver was loaded.
