1.Purpose

This update package is intended to update the firmware for your 
PERC 4/DC RAID adapter for IA-64 systems. 

Previous Fimrware Revision 	3.41
Required Firmware Revision	350O


2. Contents

This package contains the following files:
FWA350.rom			PERC 4/DC 
perc4-dc-sc-350O.txt		Release notes for PERC 4/DC fimrware
efiflash.efi			Flash tool for EFI
percupd.nsh			Firmware update script 
readme.txt			This file


3. Update Process

To update the firmware for your PERC 4/DC adapter use the following steps
 1. Extract the contents of the package to your hardrive
 2. Copy the contents of the package to the EFI service partition
 3. Run percupd.nsh from the EFI shell
 4. Follow the instructions from the EFI update tool to complete the firmware
    upgrade
 5. You will need to restart your system for the new firmware to take effect

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
