Version: 6.4.14.0001
Date: 12/04/2002
Comments:
Customized 10/100 NDIS driver for Daytona.
Reason for change:
Daytona requires a phy equalizer value to conform to IEEE specs.
Changes made:
- Set PHY Equalization to 0x6BC0. This change is triggered by a
registry entry called DaytonaFix. This registry entry must be
set to 1 to enable the PHY equalization change.
The hardware engineer's description of the change:
Configures the PHY's ASD configuration register 2 to
(1) tune the rise vs. fall slope correction in 100Base-TX to
remove the central switch,
(2) set the rise and fall slope values to 4 nsec, and
(3) to disable the central switch.
- Updated the INF to add the DaytonaFix registry entry if
the detected device has a PCI ID of 8086/1229/1028/2002.
- Added an adapter identification line to install adapters
with a PCI ID of 8086/1229/1028/2000 without the Daytona
fix.
- Added the Setup.exe driver installer

Comments:
Customized 10/100 NDIS driver for Daytona.
Reason for change:
1. Driver is failing Microsoft Certs
2. Driver is not indicating PHY On status correctly coming out of S3 and S4 for the PHY Power OFF feature.

cannot resume link.

1. Disable PowerDownOnLinkLoss before turning off PHY Power and set a flag to
indicate that PowerDownOnLinkLoss was temporarily disabled.
2. Re-enable PowerDownOnLinkLoss after restoring PHY Power if appropriate.

Version: 6.4.14.0081
Date: 08/21/2003
Comments:
Customized 10/100 NDIS driver for Daytona.
Reason for change:
Tracker 30615: "DTT67676: WOL: Wake on ping fails if "Low Power usage during
standby" checked".
Changes made:
The driver sends an ARP packet after reducing the speed to 10Mbps. This packet
was not making it completely on the wire before the system went into standby.
Added a 10 Millisecond delay after sending the ARP packet to allow enough time
for the packet to make it completely on the wire.
Updated internal version number to 6.4.14.0081
Setup.exe installer updated with new driver set.
