This ReadMe provides instructions on how to upgrade the
Windows NT device drivers for the V2.7 DELL PERC 2 and integrated
PERC 2/Si, PERC 3/Si, and PERC 3/Di controllers, hereinafter
referred to as the PERC 2 and integrated controller.

1.0 Introducing the Product
The PERC 2 and integrated family of controllers integrates
advanced RAID technology with state-of-the-art controller
hardware to deliver industry-leading performance, data
availability, and storage management features.
You upgrade the Windows NT device drivers for your
controller when a maintenance fix needs to be applied to the
currently installed Windows NT device drivers for the
controller.
2.0 Contents of the Kit
The Windows NT device drivers for the controller reside on a
single diskette.
3.0 Upgrading the Windows NT Device Drivers
To upgrade the Windows NT device drivers for the controller,
follow these steps:
1. Follow this path from Start:
Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> SCSI Adapters -> Drivers -> Add
2. The system displays an "Install Driver" window.
Select "Have Disk".
3. The system displays an "Install From Disk" window.
The "Install Driver" window instructs you to insert
the manufacturer's installation media into the drive
and click < Ok>. In this case, insert the diskette
that contains the NT device drivers for your
controller
4. Enter the drive and location of the files. The
default location on the diskette that contains the NT
device drivers is: "a:\".
The system displays a message identifying the
controller for which you want to upgrade the Windows
NT device drivers. The message requests that you
click the <Ok> button.
5. The system displays the following: "Windows NT Setup"
Click <New>
6. The system displays "System Settings Change" and asks
if you want to restart the computer. Press <No>.
7. To close the window, press <Ok> on the SCSI Adapters
page.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
