************************************************************

General Installation Notes:

1. The operating system must be installed on the system prior
    to installation.

2. This installation procedure is specific only to the
version of driver and installation file included in this
    release.

3. You can choose six different methods of installation for
this release. The files that must be downloaded for each
are indicated in the appropriate section.

        1) InstallShield* (automated) install from hard drive
           See Section 3.1.
        2) InstallShield* (automated) install from CD-ROM
           See Section 3.1.
        3) InstallShield* (automated) install from floppy disk
           See Section 3.2.
	4) Manual install from hard drive
           See Section 3.3.
	5) Manual install from CD-ROM
	   see Section 3.3.
	6) Manual install from floppy disk
	   See Section 3.4.

3.1 INSTALLSHIELD (AUTOMATED) INSTALL FROM CD-ROM or HARD DRIVE

1. Download WIN9XCD.ZIP from the Web. Double-click to unzip.
(You must have WinZip* installed; download it from www.winzip.com).
Hit the Extract button and indicate the directory into which
the files are to be extracted. Hit the Extract button to unzip
    the files to that directory.

2. At this point you have three options for install. If you
wish to do a manual install, refer to Section 3.3 or 3.4
    below.

If you wish to install from CD, copy the entire contents,
including subdirectories, of the directory where you unzipped
the WIN9XCD.ZIP file. Insert the CD-ROM into the drive. If
you have Autorun enabled, the installer will begin automatically.
Otherwise enter the graphics directory on the CD-ROM and double-
    click SETUP.EXE.

If you wish to install from the hard drive, enter the directory
where you unzipped the WIN9XCD.ZIP file. Enter the graphics
    subdirectory and double-click SETUP.EXE.

3. Click "Next" at the Welcome screen.

4. Read the license agreement and click "Yes" to continue.

5. This screen indicates the directory in which the End-User
Diagnostic Utility files will be stored.
NOTE: The graphics driver is not installed here, only the
EUD utility files are. (It is installed in the appropriate
Windows system directories). If you wish to change the
directory in which the EUD will be stored, click "Browse"
and change the directory. Click "Next" to continue.

6. The driver files will now be installed. When finished
installing, choose the "Yes" to reboot option, and click

1. Floppy disk install is broken down by language, so you need
to download the correct file from the Web for the driver
language needed. File names are in the format WIN9Xxxx,
where xxx is the three-letter abbreviation of the desired
language. (See Section 2, Localized Language Abbreviations).

2. After downloading the correct file from the Web,
    double-click to unzip them. (WinZip must already be installed;
download it from www.winzip.com). Hit the Extract button
and indicate the directory into which the files are to be
extracted. Hit the "Extract" button to unzip the files
    to that directory.

3. The files will unzip into multiple subdirectories, each
labeled for its own disk. Copy the contents of these
directories to their corresponding floppy disks.

4. Insert floppy 1 into the disk drive. Go to the floppy
    directory and double-click on setup.exe.

Diagnostic files will be stored. If you wish to change this
directory, click "Browse" and change the directory. Click
    "Next" to continue.

8. The driver files will be copied from the floppy. Insert
the remaining floppies as directed and click "OK".

9. When finished, click "Yes" to restart your computer. The
driver should now be loaded. To determine if the driver has
been loaded correctly, refer to the Verifying Installation
