    Instructions for Windows 95 SE1440

    Installing the MODEM
    --------------------
    1. Go to the control panel
    2. Select 'Add New Hardware'
    3. When prompted 'Do You Want Windows to search for your new hardware?' say
       'No'.
    4. Select 'Modem'
    5. Select 'Next', then check the box that says 'Don't detect my
       modem; I will select from a list'.
    6. Select 'Next'.
    7  Select 'Have Disk'
    8. Type in 'A:\' (or whatever is appropriate)
    9. Click OK, then Select 'Boca Research SoundExpression 14.4...'
   10. Select Next, then select a COM port for the modem.

    Installing the Sound / Audio
    ----------------------------
    1. Go to the control panel
    2. Select 'Add New Hardware'
    3. When prompted 'Do You Want Windows to search for your new hardware?' say
       'No'.
    4. Select 'Multifunction Adapters'
    5. Select 'Next'.
    6  Select 'Have Disk'
    7. Type in 'A:\' (or whatever is appropriate)
    9. Click OK, then Select 'Boca Research Sound Expression....'
   10. Select Next, and follow the instructions on screen.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
