NetWare* Server Driver Installation Notes

There are four NetWare server drivers available on this CD.
Please read the following information to determine the
correct driver to use.

**IMPORTANT** When using command line options with the .LAN driver
for NWSERVER, make sure the equal sign is followed by
a value. Otherwise, unpredictable results may occur.

\NWSERVER\CE100B.LAN
This is the CHSM 1.11 spec driver that supports NW3.2, NW4.1x(w/SP5b
or greater), NW4.2, and NW5.0. This is the native driver for NW5.0
and is recommended. All future feature enhancements will be put into
the CHSM driver.

\NWSERVER\E100B.LAN
This is the AHSM 3.31 spec driver that supports NW3.12, NW4.1x(w/SP5b
or greater), and NW5.0. This driver currently has all of the
functionality of the CHSM driver and is included because many users
are more comfortable with AHSM drivers. This driver will not be
receiving future feature enhancements, and may no longer appear
in future releases.

Both of these drivers will work as long as the MSM version is 3.61
or greater. You will get the following error message if the MSM is
too old:

"Loader could not find public symbol: <symbol name>"

To correct this you can upgrade the ETHERTSM and MSM or use the
driver in the \nwserver\3x4x.old directory. It follows the older
AHSM 3.30 spec and will run with AHSM 3.30 spec versions of MSM.

\NWSERVER\3X4X.OLD\E100B.LAN
This is the AHSM 3.30 spec driver that supports NW4.11(without
any SP). There is no corresponding CHSM driver. This driver is
to be used with non-current versions of MSM. It is recommended
that you update your MSM and use the AHSM 3.31 spec driver where
possible.

\NWSERVER\311LAN\E100B.LAN
This is the AHSM 3.2 spec driver that supports NW3.11 and NW4.0x.
There is no corresponding CHSM driver. This driver should only be
used in a NetWare 3.11 or 4.0x server.
