KMMINI2A.SYS - Device driver for supplied PCMCIA interface card. UJDB310A.INF - Device driver information file for CD-R/RW Drive. 3. "Plug & Play" is not supported by Windows NT "Plug & Play" is not supported by Windows NT. You should never remove or insert a PCMCIA card while Windows NT is running. To insert or remove a PCMCIA card, first shut down Windows NT and turn off the power to your computer. Only then should you remove or insert an interface card into a PCMCIA slot. 4. Hardware Installation The supplied PCMCIA Interface Card is for the M820e CD-R/RW Drive only, and is not qualified for use with other external SCSI devices. (1) Shut down Windows NT, and turn off power to your computer. (2) Set the switch on the PCMCIA card to 16-bit mode. Windows NT does not support Cardbus mode (Cardbus mode is for Plug & Play Windows 95 and 98 systems). (3) Connect the supplied SCSI cable to both the PCMCIA interface card and to the CD-R/RW Drive. (4) Connect the supplied AC adapter to CR-R/RW Drive and plug it into an AC outlet. (5) Firmly insert the interface card into your computer's PC card slot. 5. (6) When the "Install from disk" window appears, insert the supplied Driver Installation Diskette into your floppy drive and type "A:\NT" (do not type the quotation marks). (7) Click [OK]. (8) The "Install Driver" window will appear with the following 2 options displayed: "HP PCMCIA Card Host Adapter for 4.0" "HP PCMCIA Card Host Adapter for 4.0 (NO IRQ)" If your computer does NOT have a Texas Instruments PC1130 PCMCIA controller, or if you do not know which type of PCMCIA controller is found on your system, select this, the default driver: "HP PCMCIA Card Host Adapter for 4.0" If your computer has a Texas Instruments (TI) PC1130 PCMCIA Controller, select driver: "HP PCMCIA Card Host Adapter for 4.0 (NO IRQ)" PLEASE NOTE: Some computers which don't incorporate the TI PCMCIA Controller may still need the (NO IRQ) driver. If you have installed the default driver, and still do not see your M820e CD-R/RW drive, try removing the default driver (see Section 6 below, for instructions on how to remove installed drivers), and then reinstalling the NO IRQ version of the driver. (9) With the driver selected, click the [OK] button. (10) When Windows NT prompts to reboot, remove the diskette from the A: drive and click on the [YES] button.
