Installation Help
=================
    This driver will not run on any machine that does not have PCI backplane
    hardware. The Wildcat Pro Display driver will work with both AGP and
    AGP Pro versions of the Wildcat Display adapter.

    See MANIFEST.TXT for a list of delivered files.

    Please refer to the installation documentation provided with the media
    supplied with your system.

    If you are installing an updated driver from the 3Dlabs web site,
    please do the following:

    1. Save the self-extracting .zip file to a temporary directory on the
       system hard drive.

    2. Double-click the self-extracting zip file to unzip the driver files.
       These driver files are compressed and will be expanded during the
       installation process.

    NOTE:
    When re-installing Windows XP with a Wildcat Pro card installed in the
    system, the "Found New Hardware" dialog/wizard will not come up after
    the final boot into Windows XP. You must install the driver. Simply
    run the setup.exe program located with the Wildcat driver software,
    then reboot the system. The setup.exe program will install the driver
    for you.

Configuration
=============
The "Wildcat Configuration" page in Advanced Display Properties must be used to
    change the driver configuration.

The Synchronize Buffer Swap to Vertical Sync check box on the Wildcat
Configuration tab is checked by default. This provides the highest visual
quality. To obtain higher frame rate performance for benchmarking purposes,
clear this check box so that the display is not synchronized to vertical sync. When
this option is not checked, you may experience certain screen artifacts such
as tearing; however, this box should generally be unchecked for performance
benchmarking.

Click Config Wizard on the Wildcat Configuration tab to activate a
step-by-step interface that will allow you to modify your current display
configuration or create a new one. In the Wildcat Configuration Wizard, click
Next and follow the prompts to create a new configuration, or modify or delete
an existing one.

The default bitplane mode is 96; some resolutions are available only in 96 bitplane mode.

Context-Sensitive Help
======================

Context-sensitive help is provided for 3Dlabs Wildcat dialogs in the Display
properties applet. The only exception to this is the Configuration Wizard,
which provides detailed instructions for each step. Context-sensitive help
for a particular control is accessible using three different methods.

    - Click the question mark located on the title bar of the active dialog.
      The cursor will change to the help select cursor. Next, click
      on the control for which you wish to receive help.
    - Right-click the control for which you wish to receive help.
    - Set the focus on the control for which you wish to receive help and press F1.

Any of these methods will display a small box filled with text that provides
information on the control you have chosen.

Trouble Shooting
================

    Refer to the Hardware section of the Windows XP online help for
    trouble shooting. Or, see the Customer Support and Dell Online
    information listed below.

Tech Notes
==========

"Note: Windows XP users should not use "Fast User Switching" after switching
between Dual Screen/Dual Monitor modes and single monitor mode. After
switching back to single monitor mode from the adminstrator profile, if Fast
User Switching is used to switch back to a User Profile, the system may
become unstable and produce a blank user screen. To recover from this blank
screen a system reset will be required. There are no known workarounds for
this issue at this time but following the standard Windows Log On/Log Off
proceedures will prevent this from happening. To recover from this issue
follow the steps below.

	1. Restart the system and log in as system administrator.
	2. Start the Diaplay Properties and go to the Advanced Properties.
	3. Click on the Wildcat Configuration Tab.
	4. Under the Maximum Number Of Displays select the Radio Button for
	    2 displays.
	5. Click on Apply and Restart the system when prompted.
	6. Do not use Fast User Switching again if you intended to return
	    to single monitor mode from the administrator profile."
