NETGEAR FA310TX Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter
-----------------------------------------
Driver Installation for Novell NetWare OS/2 Requester
-----------------------------------------------------
Getting Started
---------------
The necessary files for driver installation for Novell NetWare OS/2
Requester are stored in a self-extracting compressed format. The FA310TX
NetWare OS/2 Requester driver and the related NET.CFG file need to be
extracted prior to driver installation.
The provided NetWare OS/2 Requester driver supports the standard NetWare
Node Address, Protocol and Frame options for creating your own NET.CFG.
For other NetWare specific keywords, please refer to Novell's "NetWare
Client for OS/2 User Guide - NET.CFG options". All FA310TX specific
keywords are provided at the end of this installation guide.
This installation assumes that the adapter is working properly.
The Getting Started section describes the installation instructions.
Installation Procedure
----------------------
1. Copy the compressed file NETWARE.EXE from the \NETWARE directory
of the driver diskette into your hard disk. Execute NETWARE.EXE
at MS-DOS prompt to extract the drivers. The NetWare client for
OS/2 driver and the necessary NET.CFG file are stored in the
\NETWARE\ODI.OS2 sub-directory.
Make a note of the target path where the drivers reside.
2. Copy NGRPCI.SYS in the target path into your C:\NETWARE directory.
>Copy C:\<PATH>\NGRPCI.SYS C:\NETWARE
3. Modify your CONFIG.SYS file to include the following device driver
statement:
DEVICE=C:\NETWARE\NGRPCI.SYS
4. Modify your NET.CFG file for special settings you need. For
information on the various keywords, please refer to Novell's
manual or the sample NET.CFG file extracted from the driver disk.
For further information on the installation procedure, please refer
to the Novell "NetWare Requester for OS/2" manual.
