MS Windows 95 INSTALLION 1. Insert the Installation Diskette "WIN95" in the floppy drive A: or B : 2. Boot up Windows 95. In Windows 95 "Booted" Screen, select "Start" item. 3. In "Start" Screen,select "Settings" item, slect "Control Panel" item. 4. In "Control Panel" Screen, Select "Display" icon. 5. In "Display Properites" Screen, Select "Settings" item, Select "Change Display Type" . 6. In "Change Display Type" Screen , select "Adapter Type => Change" item. 7. In "Select Device" Screen, select "Have Disk..." item. 8. In "Install From Disk" Screen, select your driver source. e.g. A:\ 9. In new "Select Device" Screen, "S3.INF" would appear and select "OK". Then Windiows 95 would perform driver installion 10.After completing installation. Windows 95 would go back to "Change Display Type" Screen, select"Close" item. 11.Windows 95 would go back to "Display Properties" Screen and you may select desired resolution by changing "Desktop area" pointer. desired color by changing "Color Palette" value, and desired font size by changing "Font size" . 12.After completing selection, chose "Apply" to complete the whole installation. 13.Then Windows 95 would ask, "Do you want to restat Windows ?". Choose "Restart" to make your selection active and you may work at your selection mode. MS Windows 3.1 INSTALLATION 1. Insert the Installation Diskette "WIN3.1" in the floppy drive A: or B:. 2. The Installation menu will apear under this menu select what driver you want to installed. 3. Use the up/down key highlight the Windows 3.11 and press enter,windows 3.11 driver will be installed to your system automatically. 4. After installing Windows 3.11 driver. You can install the Galileo Program, to select any mode of operations / refresh rate and resolution under windows 3.11. Galileo Program INSTALLATION 1. To install the Galileo Program, install the Installation Diskette "Galileo Utility" in floppy drive A: or B:. 2. Boot up Windows using standard VGA mode. 3. In Windows Program Manager Screen, choose "File" item. In "Run" Screen, key-in "A:\GAL\setup" . The Galileo program will be installed to your system automatically. A Group file call Display Utility will be add the your windows. Memory Upgrade Procedures To upgrade your S3 Trio VGA from default 1MB Memory to 2MB Memory, please complete the following steps : 1. Turn off your system before removing the S3 Trio boar. Place the adapter on a firm, flat, non-static hard surface. 2. Insert the 256K x 16 DRAMs into the two available 40 pin SOJ sockets, make sure the notched edge of the chip corresponds to notch at one end of the sockets. 3. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
