Installation instructions
-------------------------
1. These drivers must be installed by a user with Windows NT Administrator
privileges. Please consult your system administrator or Microsoft Windows 2000 
User's Manual for more information on Administrator privileges.

2. Start Microsoft Windows 2000.

3. From the Start menu, select Settings.

4. Select Control Panel.

5. Select the Add/Remove hardware icon.

6. Click the Next button.

7. The Add/Troubleshoot a device should be selected (if not select it), click the Next button.

8. Click and highlight the Video Controller (VGA Compatible) and then click the Next button.

9. The message "The driver for this device are not installed. (Code 28)" is displayed, click the 
Finish button.

10. The Upgrade Device Driver Wizard windows appear, click the Next button.

11. Select "Display a list of...." and click the Next button.

12. Under "Optional Search Locations", select "Specify a location" only and click the Next button.

13. Type C:\DELL\DRIVERS\576CE in the space provided and click the OK button.

14. After Windows finds the drivers, click the Next button.

15. Files will be copied.

16. Click the Finish button. When prompted, restart the systems.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
