About this release
==================
This release is to provide ATI Rage XL Graphics Controller driver software to the Everglades (PE1750) on Board ATI Rage XL Graphics Controller. The driver only support Windows NT4 Server, with Service pack 6a.

This release contains the followings:
Driver installation instructions

ATI Rage XL Graphics Controller driver: located in the NT4_Driver folder. 
HTML Manual: located in the Manuals folder.



Driver installation instructions
================================

In the setup.htm page of the HTML manual, The Driver installation instructions in subsection "To install ATI drivers for Windows®" are for users installing the driver from a Dell Resource CD. If you install the driver from this software release package, follow the driver installation steps provided below:

NOTE: This driver is for Windows NT4, with Service pack 6a. The driver must be installed by a user with Administrator privileges. Please consult your system administrator or Microsoft Windows® User's Manual for more information on Administrator privileges. 

1. Once you have located this release package, select it and unzip the package to the hard drive. You will see two folders: NT4_Driver and Manuals.


2. Double click Setup.exe in the NT4_Driver folder.

3. After the ATI Display Driver screen, a Welcome screen shows up. click next at the Welcome screen.

4. At the Software License Agreement, click Yes. The driver files start to be copied. 

5. After all of the files have been copied, click Finish if you want to reboot. If you don't want to reboot, click the radio button that says "No, I will restart my computer later", then click Finish. 
Note: Driver will not be functional until the server rebooted.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
