Hi, This is the Waveartist NT Audio driver release 1.91 . Changes/Additions with respect to release 1.9 ============================================= 1. The interrupt 11 is removed, from the list of available interrupts in the installation dialog for Sound Blaster Pro Interrupts. This is because though interrupts 11 appears in the resource data files it is not being supported by the card. 2. The problem of not being able to make changes(interrupts, port addresses, etc) to resources after/during installation. 3. Confirming working of installation after uninstalling a previous SB16 PnP driver. 4. The CD and/or Modem settings also appear in the installation dialog. They are enabled for selection/modification only if the resource data file used is for CD and/or Modem devices, Else they are greyed out. NOT DONE: -------- a. Testing of CD IDE device being enabled/programmed. b. Installing of Modem device being enabled/programmed. (This was tested, but could not be installed because the modem could not be installed thru control panel applet. The applet was always looking for modem at COM4/COM1, but not at COM2. When finally COM2 was looked for modem, there was resource conflict with the mouse and probably COM1, and hence could not test this). 5. Flexmixer channel options for enabling/disabling some analog channels. Also Flexmixer numeric options of MasterVolumeMax, StereoMic, TrebleBass. The registry path where these options are placed is: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Config\" . PENDING: -------- a. Flexmixer channels names are not reflected as the channel names in mixer controls. (This is not possible because NT uses resource string ids instead of resource strings and these resource strings are part of the waveart.dll . So to change the channel names, the resource strings for that channel have to be modified and this cannot be done automatically(i,e. from the DLL at the installation) to modify its own resources. Though there are API's to modify the resource strings for a DLL, they cannot be used to modify the resources of the same DLL that is currently running) b. Flexmixer numeric option of AnalogFX for values 1, 2, 3. (AnalogFX option for value 0, which is supposed to be default, is implemented, and is working ok) 6. Version identification(Currently set as 1.91) for both waveart.sys and waveart.dll . Product name, Copyright, Company name being specified as for Rockwell WaveArtist Driver, to appear in File Properties. Note: ==== Case 64 of ACTNT WHQL Wave tests, was found by Rockwell to fail. We are not able to get this failure. The test case was run repeatedly for about 25 times, and still it did not appear. Please check with this release once more. The Driver has been checked on all resource data files. Atleast 4 hours continuous and simultaneous operation of: a. Wave player b. Midi Player (FM Synthesis) c. Midi Player (WaveTable) d. Sound(Wave) Recorder (Used on and off) The Driver has passed thru the ACTNT WHQL tests. minddk.log : Midi In Tests Logfile moutddk.log : Midi Out Tests Logfile mxdrvtst.log : Mixer Driver Tests Logfile wavesan.log : Wave Sanity Tests Logfile waveout.log : Wave Out Tests Logfile wavein.log : Wave In Tests LogfileDownload Driver Pack
