To install the SystemLink network adapter in Windows XP:

1. With the computer started and logged-in to Windows XP,
   plug the SystemLink network adapter into a wall outlet.
2. Attach the SystemLink to your PC via a USB cable.
3. When the Found New Hardware or Add New Hardware window
   appears, select "Install the software automatically",
   then click Next. 
4. On the "Hardware Installation" warning window, click 
   "Continue Anyway"
5. When setup is complete, click Finish.
6. From the Windows "Start" menu, select "Run".
7. Type "PLXSetup" and click OK. Restart when prompted.

Once restarted, you can use a simplified version of SystemLink
Administrator by double-clicking on the "SystemLink Administrator"
icon on your Windows desktop.


To uninstall the SystemLink network adapter in Windows XP:

1. From the Windows' "Start" menu select "Run".
2. Type "plxsetup r" and click OK.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
