Installing the PLANET ENW-9601T/ENW-9602T Gigabit Ethernet Adapter
on Windows XP:
1. Power off your PC and install the network card.
2. Turn on power then boot up Windows XP.
3. Insert "PLANET ENW-9601T/ENW-9602T Gigabit Ethernet Adapter"
Driver Disk/CD to your floppy/CD-Rom
4. Window system will show "Ethernet Controller" and install
"National Semiconductor Corp. DP83820 Gigabit Network Controller"
automatically.
5. Select "START" -> "Settings" -> "Control Panel" -> "System"
-> "Hardware" -> "Device Manager" -> "Network adapters"
-> Double clcik "National Semiconductor Corp. DP83820 Gigabit
Network Controller".
6. Select "Driver" page and click "Update Driver" Button.
7. Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)"
option. Click "Next" button.
8. Select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install." option
and click "Next" button.
9. Select "Have Disk" and enter the driver pathname. ex: A:\WinXP.
Then click "OK".
10. Then "Hardware Update Wizard" will show
"PLANET ENW-9601T/ENW-9602T Gigabit Ethernet Adapter". Then click
"Next" button.
11. Then Windows will installs the software and pop a warning message.
Click "Continue Anyway" button.
12. When the "Hardware Update Wizard" dialog box is shown, the screen
will show the following adapter name.
"PLANET ENW-9601T/ENW-9602T Gigabit Ethernet Adapter"
Please click "Finish" to complete the installation.
13. Restart your computer.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
