LAN Manager Workstation/Server Introduction: ------------- This document describes the procedure to setup LAN Manager 2.1 Workstation/Server driver for PLANET ENW-9506 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter. Location of Driver:(DOS) \NDIS\FETND.DOS Sample Configuration Files: --------------------------- CONFIG.SYS (for DOS will contain): DEVICE=C:\LANMAN.DOS\DRIVERS\PROTMAN\PROTMAN.DOS /I:C:\LANMAN.DOS DEVICE=C:\LANMAN.DOS\DRIVERS\ETHERNET\FETND\FETND.DOS PROTOCOL.INI (will contain): DRIVERNAME = FETND$ ; AUTO = 1 or 0 Enable Auto Negotiation ; SPEED = 10 or 100 Set line speed = 10 or 100 Mbps ; FULLDUPLEX = 0 or 1 Set to FullDuplex or HalfDuplex ; SLOT = 1 Set physical slot of adapter, ; Usful for 2 adapters. ; CONNECTIONTYPE = AUTOSENSE Enable Auto Negotiation ; _10BaseT Set line speed=10, halfduplex mode ; _10BaseTFD Set line speed=10, fullduplex mode ; _100BasetTX Set line speed=100, halfduplex mode ; _100BasetTXFD Set line speed=100, fullduplex mode ; FLOW_CONTROL = HARDWARE_DEFAULT Set to use hardware's default flow control ability ; ENABLE Enable flow control ability ; DISABLE Disable flow control ability Setup driver procedures on LAN Manager workstation/server : ----------------------------------------------------------- Before you start with the installation process, make sure that the adapter is properly installed and configured. Make sure your Microsoft LAN Manager is properly installed. 1. Run the appropriate Microsoft Lan Manager SETUP for computer you are setting up.(DOS). Select "Configuration" item ,(the VIA driver isn't included on the Lan Manager disk) and insert the ENW-9506 driver disk, select the Realtek driver and follow the directions. 2. When completed, reboot your computer.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
