Under most windows systems, right-click My Computer, choose Properties, then go to the device manager.  If your DVC80 is showing up as a couple unrecognized USB devices, right click one of the devices and choose re-install driver.  If it is already shown under imaging devices, uninstall it.  When you go to re-install your DVC80, point to this folder, and windows will find the appropriate driver.  You have to update the driver for each USB device.  There are separate audio and video drivers included (hence the two separate USB devices under the device manager).

Also, please feel free to write to Pinnacle and let them know how you feel about them closing off their Dazzle DVC80 to 3rd party applications (such as MS Office products and Adobe products) and forcing you to use Studio instead...

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
