Samsung PCI Network Adapter OS2-ODI Driver Installation Guide
    =============================================================

This document describes how to install OS2 ODI client software to work
with the Samsung PCI Network adapter.

1. Install a third-party Ethernet card (for example, NE2000) with Novell
client for OS/2. Make sure the system works properly.

2. Copy the driver SE100ODI.OS2 and MSM.MSG into directory NETWARE.

3. Create or modify NET.CFG in NETWARE directory using the example provided.

Following are the keywords supported in the PROTOCOL.INI.

DRIVERNAME -- Our driver name is SEC100$.

RX_BUFFERS -- Number of receive buffer in 256 bytes. Valid
range from 32 to 128 with 64 (meaning 16K of
                         rx buffer) as the default.

LINE_SPEED -- Line speed selection. Can be either 10 or 100.
If this keyword is absent, Autonegotiation
                         mode is used.

TX_THRESHOLD -- Transmit threshold. Valid range from 0 to
1500 with 1500 as the default.

NODE ADDRESS -- Node ID override. If this keyword is absent,
driver will use the one in the serial eeprom.

4. Modify CONFIG.SYS in root directory using the example provided.
In this example, the statement for NE2000 NDIS driver is replaced
by the Samsung's. Other statements that make the ODI driver act as
a NDIS are also commented out.

        rem SEC RUN=D:\IBMCOM\LANMSGEX.EXE
        rem SEC DEVICE=D:\IBMCOM\PROTOCOL\NETBEUI.OS2
        rem SEC DEVICE=D:\IBMCOM\PROTOCOL\NETBIOS.OS2
