NETGEAR FA312/FA311 Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter
               ---------------------------------------------
Driver Installation for Microsoft Windows NT 3.51
             -------------------------------------------------

  Installation Procedure
  ----------------------
The following exmaple illustrates installation of the FA312 adapter
card. Exactly the same procedure can be applied to the FA311 adapter
  card.

The Windows NT 3.51 CD-ROM or diskettes are needed for the following
  procedure.

  1. Boot up the system with Windows NT 3.51. From the "Main" window,
      select "Control Panel".

  2. In the "Control Panel" window, select the "Network" icon.

  3. In "Network Settings" window, select "Add Adapter". Windows NT
will display a list of all available drivers.

  4. Select "Other" for third-party adapters not included in the list.
The program prompts for the directory containing the Ethernet
      drivers.

  5. Specify the full path of the driver, A:\WINNT351.

  6. Windows NT will attempt to locate the OEMSETUP.INF file in the
specified path and copy the appropriate drivers into the Windows NT
      system.

  7. Choose the "NETGEAR FA312 Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter".

Or the "NETGEAR FA311 Fast Ethernet PCI Adapter" when installing
      the FA311 adatper card.

  8. The driver is now properly installed. The installation procedure
will then proceed to the next steps. Please refer to your Windows
NT installation guide for information on these steps.

  9. A window appears allowing you to specify your network connection
      type.

For "Network Type", choose the "AutoSense" option. The driver will
auto-detect the media that is connecting to the adapter.

Other possible connection type selections are "10Base-T", "10Base-T
      full_duplex", "100Base-TX", and "100Base-TX full_duplex".

  10. After the initial installation, the driver will be permanently
installed into the Windows NT system. Subsequent accesses to the
network driver list will include these drivers as options.
