 - In WinXP, we use the usbhub.sys to replace the native usbccgp.sys for USB Composite Device
   that's because usbccgp.sys cannot hook more than one filter driver, resulting in our
   Skusbkbf.sys cannot pass the testing in VERIFIER utility.
 - In Win2000, we restore the usbhub.sys service to fix the error of missing entry.

 - Reduce the size of help files by decreasing the colors of some pictures.
 - Setup.exe can import the .REG files to registry. You must specify the .REG files
   you want to import in the "Add Registry Files" section of the .INI files. The format
   of the commands is:
	[Add Registry Files]
	1 = FILE1.REG
	2 = FILE2.REG
	...
   Currently the default file name is RAK3.REG.

** BUGS FIXED **
 - Fix the SetForeground problem in Windows 2000.
 - Fix the color problem when user chooses to print label from conrtrol panel.


RC-1 (2000-02-25)

 - Change the default color of OSD to green.
 - Add icon to the OSD for mute or volume +/- function.
 - Add /PRELOAD flag for setup.exe to avoid hang problem at preload installation stage.
 - Add code for supporting the disable of Message LED, the LED can be disabled by running
   "RAK3CFG.EXE /ChangeDefault".
 - Add WebLaunch support to the /ChangeDefault mode of the RAK3CFG.EXE.

** BUGS FIXED **
 - Help files is updated to new graphics/function for RAKIII now.
 - Fix the problem that Message LED won't work with Outlook Express 5.0 of Windows 98 SE.


Beta 4 (2000-02-14)
===================
** NEW/UPDATE FEATURE **
 - Task Bar Icon will be dynamically added/removed when the Rapid Access III keyboard was 
   connected or unplugged.
 - Control Panel: 
   a. Change all reference of "Email" to "EMAIL".
   b. Change default fonts used in button label area and printed label of the control panel
      to "Helvetica".
   c. Change the switch to change default settings from "/Config" to "/ChangeDefault".

** BUGS FIXED **
 - OSD for DBCS messages is now shown in correct format.
 - Fix the problem that the Rapid Access III keyboard will not work properly after 
   uninstallation in Windows 2000.
 - Fix the problem that the Mediamatics DVD player will not be detected for DVD
   or VCD play function in Chinese Aptiva system.
 - Fix the problem that mail detection will bring up the account setup dialog if the
   Internet Mail information is not present.


Beta 3 (2000-01-31)
===================
** NEW FEATURE **
 - Control Panel:
   a. Add mail configuration dialog.
   b. Add config mode and REG file export function for easy preload customization.
      Switches:
	/config		put control panel to config mode, all changes will be saved
			as default settings.
	/out:XXX.REG	export all default shortcut button settings to the .REG file
		    	specified.
      	e.g. rak3cfg.exe /config /out:XXX.REG	
 - Mail LED:
   Use simple MAPI to detect any unread mail in the inbox of the default mail reader.
   Mail reader verified: Outlook Express 5, Outlook, Netscape Messanger (V4.5+), Hotmail.
   And the LED will now flash once per second.
 - Standby LED:
   Detect "Monitor Turn Off" status for LED On/Off. Please check the Advance settings within 
   the Screen Saver Tab of the Diplay settings. 
 - CD Control Function for multiple CD-ROM drive:
   If there are more than one CD-ROM drive in the system, the CD control function will work
   based on the following rules:
   a. If there is only one drive with a CD-ROM disc inside, that drive will be applied.
   b. If there is only one drive with a Audio CD/VCD/DVD disc inside, that drive will be applied.
   c. If there is more than one drive with a Audio CD/VCD/DVD disc inside, the drive with
      lower drive letter will be applied.

** BUGS FIXED **
 - Message LED function now works with Outlook 97/98/2000 as well as Outlook Express 5, Netscape 
   Messanger 4.5+ and Hotmail. However, Outlook Express 4 bundled with Windows 98 will not work.
 - Sleep LED function is now implemented when "Monitor Turn Off" activated.
 - In Windows 2000, the control panel may open twice in the screen.
 - Fix bugs that New message detection only works when a new mail was just arrived.
 - In Windows 98, the WWW Back and Next keys will work as Alt + <- or -> keys now.

** KNOWN BUGS **
 - In Windows 2000, the keyboard device will not work properly after uninstallation.
 - In Windows 2000, the WWW Back and Next keys will always work in Standard mode.
 - In Chinese Aptiva preload, the Mediamatics DVD player will not be detected for DVD
   or VCD play function. This is due to the localized program name "Mediamatics DVD xxxxxx" in 
   Chinese preload, it was "Mediamatics DVD Player" in English preload. 

Beta 2 (1999-12-21)
===================
** NEW FEATURE **
 - Control Panel: 
   a. Control Panel has been designed with the new graphics of 12/15.
   b. In the first page, if the buttons are previously disabled, click
      on the upper buttons area will bring up the preference dialog.
      Users need to enable the buttons before proceed.

** BUGS FIXED **
 - OSD for Mute button is now implemented as "Mute On" and "Mute Off".
 - OSD for Volume Up/Down buttons is implemented as a indicating bar.
 - Fix the problem that OSD does not work if VCD or DVD is playing in full screen mode.
 - Fix the hang problem of entering suspend mode in Windows 2000.
 - Message LED function is partially implemented.
 - Record and launch the previous instance for the same button is implemented.
 - "Preference..." function in the control panel is implemented.
 - "Print Label..." function in the control panel is implemented.
 - Fix the problem that "Help" function in the control panel does not launch the 
   complete help.
 - Fix the problem that CD control function does not work well with the Windows 2000
   default CD player.
 - Fix the problem that run setup.exe from the floopy drive may need to keep the disk 
   on the drive for normal function until next reboot.

 - In Windows 2000, the control panel may open twice in the screen.

 - Control Panel: 
   a. When button was assigned to be a web address, a new tree view list 
      was added and enabled user to select from My Favorites web sites.
   b. For the buttons that not configured yet, the step 3 & 4 control will
      be disabled until the type in step 2 has been specified.

** KNOWN BUGS **
 - OSD for Mute button is not implemented yet.
 - OSD for Volume Up/Down buttons is not finalized yet.
 - OSD for DBCS messages is not shown in correct character set.
 - OSD does not work if VCD or DVD is playing in full screen mode.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
